LockIN (“we”, “us”) runs this website. This policy explains what happens to the information you give us before and during our Kickstarter campaign.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the launch list.
- VIP reservation details, if you reserve a VIP spot: your name, email and billing country. Your card is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.
- Email engagement: our email service records whether messages are delivered and opened, so we can stop sending to addresses that don't work.
We don't ask for anything else, and we don't run advertising trackers on this site.
How we use it
- To email you about LockIN: the launch, build updates every few weeks, and the campaign itself.
- To hold your VIP price and send your private launch link.
- To process refunds of your VIP reservation when you ask, or automatically if the campaign doesn't launch.
We rely on your consent when you sign up. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
Who we share it with
Only the services that make this work, each bound by its own privacy terms:
- Kit stores the email list and sends our emails.
- Stripe processes VIP payments and refunds.
- Kickstarter handles your pledge if you back the campaign. That's covered by Kickstarter's own privacy policy.
We never sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with advertisers.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. Stripe's checkout page uses cookies needed for secure payments and fraud prevention.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and in any case no longer than needed once the campaign and deliveries are finished. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the information we hold about you, and you can withdraw consent at any time. If you're in the UK or EU, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. Email us and we'll reply within 30 days.
